Mission

The mission of the behind the Academic Club of European Studies (CASE) is to research and promote policies that advance the purpose of a genuine European political community. The research that CASE provides, seeks to combine academic rigour with the European ideals and practical considerations. In addition to the objective of providing a space for debate, a characteristic of all NGOs and think-tanks, CASE encourages excellence and reliability in dealing with European issues, without neglecting the real need for mobilization to influence public policy. CASE aims to be a via media, but also a point of connection between academia and public institutions that can influence Europeanization.

 To this end, the CASE team pursues the following activities:

  • carrying out and publishing analyses and recommendations on public policies at national and European level and editing;
  • developing and employing new approaches in the study and practice of European studies at national level;
  • training experts, practitioners and university lecturers within the epistemic community in the field of European studies;
  • creating an environment conducive to the development of an association and/or a national professional network in the field of European studies;
  • providing consultancy in the this specific field;
  • organising training courses, seminars, conferences, public debates and public awareness activities.
